Project Role: Art Direction and Concepting
The City of New Orleans Office of Recovery and Development (post-Katrina) created a series of short films as online public service messages. This feature focuses on the city’s efforts and successes to rebuild and repair streets, signage, and drain lines from the destruction of Katrina. Filming and editing was done by Ben Reece and the rest of amazing crew at Deltree in New Orleans.
The purpose of these films were to help the city showcase all the work that has been completed with the help of federal FEMA funds. All filming was done in and around some of the most affected streets and neighborhoods in the city. In many cases water lines from the storm surge were still very evident and well above my head–making the story all the more real.
