Project Role: Co-Designer and Co-Concepting

This site was launched in 2007 and was only redesigned with their new album launch this year. The Shins, one of the biggest indie artists in recent time, contracted Royal Magnet out of Seattle, WA to redesign their site for the then-to-be-upcoming release of “Wincing the Night Away.” Royal Magnet hired me to pitch the work (concepts not shown here), as well as concept and co-design this site once hired.

Illustrations provided by James Mercer’s brother, Rob, who did all the awesome work on the album art. This website was showcased in the book series “Web Design Index.”
